A considered finish

From beautiful file to beautiful paper.

The final result depends on the file, paper, and printer working together. Confirm the specifications for your particular product and approve one physical proof before printing the full set.

Use the correct size and file

Print the purchased master, not a website preview or screenshot. Use the exact finished dimensions in your package guide. In the print dialog, choose Actual Size or 100% scale for files intended to print at their supplied size; avoid Fit to Page unless the product instructions specifically call for it.

Check the exported PDF's page size before printing. A different paper size, automatic scaling, or a pixel-based document with the wrong physical dimensions can change the finished result. Large signs and tribute boards are best discussed with a professional print provider.

Export with your printer in mind

In Canva, choose Share, Download, then PDF Print for print work. Ask your printer whether it needs bleed, crop marks, and a particular color profile. Some export options depend on your Canva plan.

Enable crop marks and bleed only when the printer requests them and the artwork is prepared for trimming. Adding a bleed checkbox does not make an unfinished edge print-ready. Keep essential text and logos inside the safe area, away from the trim.

Check Canva's file-type guide and margin, bleed, and crop-mark guidance for the available export settings.

Optional Premium Paper

  • Choose soft white or pale ivory stock. The files already have an ivory background; proof first, as ivory paper can make the result warmer.
  • A smooth or subtle eggshell finish preserves fine botanical detail. A delicate linen finish is an alternative if your printer supports it; avoid coarse texture.
  • Confirm paper weight, thickness, finish, and feed compatibility with your printer. Heavy cotton stock may require professional printing; do not force it through a home printer.
  • Score folded pieces before folding and fold with the paper grain where possible. Ask your print provider to confirm grain direction and duplex setup.

For flat invitations and cards, 250-300 gsm uncoated stock is an optional starting point if your printer supports it. Folded programs need lighter stock; poster paper needs a frame or separate rigid mounting. Use the product-specific paper note rather than one paper weight for every format.

Paper is an optional printing choice, purchased separately. This purchase includes digital files only.

Proof, trim, and finish

  • Print one complete sample and check readable type, fine artwork, color, and finished dimensions. Screen colors and paper colors can differ.
  • For folded pieces, confirm duplex orientation and page order, score before folding, and check the folded proof.
  • For envelopes, verify feed direction, printable margins, and address placement on a sample before printing the batch.
  • Use the trim instructions in the package guide. Review the actual cut edge and keep text safely inside it.
